Tallat Maqdisyeh Program
Tallat Maqdisyeh Program
The "Tallat Maqdisyeh" programme is the first view of the city of Jerusalem during the month of Ramadan, at which the manifestations of the holy month in the Holy City and their distinctive religious communities, families and rituals are displayed, giving Ramadan a different month to a Palestinian audience who has lost the barriers to Israeli occupation, its actions, the walls of its apartheid, the ability to communicate with it. The Arab and Muslim world is also looking for a sweet flavor of bitterness and pain; their peoples look forward to the day when their steps in their dialogues will be darkened by their bows and embraced by their mosques and churches.
This production is also a means of confronting Israel ' s policy of separating Jerusalem from its Arab-Palestinian reach and Judaizing it; as photographers visit villages and areas closed to Palestinians, they risk documenting the impact of the city ' s disaster and displacement, and photographers are being harassed by the occupying forces on the roadblocks.
"Sacred heroes" are episodes of Palestinian Jerusalem's steadfastness on its territory despite all attempts by the Israeli occupation authorities to seize Palestinian homes and territories in Jerusalem. They are the ruins of daily life during the month of Ramadan, in the face of the Israeli settlement attack. In addition, they are at the beautiful air of the city in the Rahab of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Dome of the Rock and the Church of the Resurrection.
