بمناسبة اليوم العالمي لحرية الصحافة
تطالب بيالارا في اليوم العالمي لحرية الصحافة بتوفير الحماية القانونية للصحفيين الفلسطينيين والمؤسسات الإعلامية، في ظل ما يتعرضون له من استهداف ممنهج، خاصة في قطاع غزة.
وتُحذر من مخاطر انتشار الشائعات، مؤكدة على ضرورة تبني نهج التربية الإعلامية والمعلوماتية على نطاق واسع، بما يشمل تعزيز الحق في الحصول على المعلومات وتداولها.
كما تُذكّر المجتمع الدولي بمسؤولياته القانونية والأخلاقية تجاه الصحفيين ووسائل الإعلام والمحتوى الفلسطيني، وتدعو إلى تحرك دولي جاد لحمايتهم.
وتناشد بيالارا الصحفيين والمؤسسات الإعلامية حول العالم إلى تعزيز قيم التضامن مع حقوق الصحفيين في الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، انسجامًا مع رسالة الإعلام وأخلاقياته.
وتشير بيالارا إلى أن عام 2024 يُعدّ العام الأكثر دموية في تاريخ الصحافة الفلسطينية، حيث استُشهد 212 صحفياً وصحفية خلال العدوان الجاري على قطاع غزة، من بينهم الصحفية نرمين حبوش، ابنة بيالارا، كما أُصيب نحو 409 صحفيين آخرين.
في هذا اليوم، تؤكد بيالارا أن الصحفيين في فلسطين، لا سيما في غزة، يدفعون ثمن الحقيقة بدمائهم، وأن صمت العالم يشكل تواطؤًا مع الجريمة.

On World Press Freedom Day – May 3, 2025
On World Press Freedom Day, PYALARA demands legal protection for Palestinian journalists and media institutions, given the systematic targeting they face, especially in Gaza.
PYALARA warns against the dangers of spreading rumors and emphasizes the need for widespread adoption of Media and Information Literacy (MIL), which includes strengthening the right to access and circulate information.
PYALARA reminds the international community of its legal and moral responsibilities toward journalists, media institutions, and Palestinian content, calling for genuine international action to protect them.
PYALARA urges journalists and media organizations worldwide to reinforce values of solidarity with the rights of journalists in the occupied Palestinian territories, in line with the ethics and values of journalism.
PYALARA also points out that 2024 has been the deadliest year in the history of Palestinian journalism, with 212 journalists killed during the ongoing aggression on Gaza, including journalist Nermin Haboush, PYALARA’s own daughter. Around 409 journalists have been injured.
On this day, PYALARA affirms that Palestinian journalists, especially in Gaza, are paying the price for truth with their blood, and that the silence of the world amounts to complicity with the crime.
